VCI is the producer and co-director for the first ever Yanni HD television special that will air on PBS stations in August 2006. Filmed at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas wtih 15 cameras, including the Super Bowl Fly Camera used for the first time at a music concert, this is the first televised Yanni show since
Yanni Live at Royal Albert Hall and marks the fourth Yanni TV special that VCI has produced and directed since
Yanni Live at the Acropolis in l994.
Yanni's Visions of Greece - PBS June 2004
VCI and WLIW have produced the fourth documentary on Greek-Americans and Greece, a special and unique look at Greece through the eyes, voice and music of Yanni. George Veras and Yanni selected fourteen compositions that perfectly match the spectacular beauty of WLIW's HD helicopeter aerial footage of Greece. Yanni narrates personal and historical stories over this stunning montage. Chapters include "The Ancient Temples", "Monasteries", "Beaches", "Grand Vistas" and some of the musical selections include "On Sacred Ground", "Desire", "Flight of Fantasy" and "Walkabout". Recently, VCI secured Yanni's performance of the national anthem at Game 5 of the World Series, see worldwide by over 300 million people. Yanni will also perform at the first ever Super Bowl Kickoff Event in Houston, Texas on January 26th, co-chaired by former President George Bush and CBS Sports's lead announcer, Jim Nantz. VCI will produce this event for Nantz and the Houston Super Bowl Committee.
CBS Sports and Yanni/VCI have announced that one of Yanni's compositions, "Fanfare", has been selected for the opening animation and main theme for CBS Sports' Emmy winning PGA Tour coverage for the next five years. CBS Sports Co-executive producer Tony Petitti and Creative Director Doug Towey were presented with the music by Yanni Executive Producer George Veras in December and selected the theme over all other submissions. Yanni also composed a second, new composition "In the Fairway", for 2004, which has been added to the telecasts. Yanni's "Celebration of Man" is also the main theme music for NBC Sports' USGA Golf Championships, including the U.S. Open. Yanni's "Santorini" was the theme music for CBS Sports' US Open Tennis from 1989-1997.
Yanni in Words was released in February 2003 and immediately went to the New York Times Bestseller list. Yanni and co-author David Renson chronicled Yanni's life from the small seaside town of Kalamata, Greece to his national swimming title at age 14 and then onto America for a rock and roll existence that lead him to Los Angeles and his musical fame. Yanni's music and his presence reaches all cultures, as eveidenced by his monument concerts at teh Acropolis, the Taj Mahal, the Forbidden City and Toji Temple. VCI secured Bob Barnett as the agent and Miramax as the publisher. VCI organized five national book signings, arranged appearances on the O'Reilly Factor, CBS Sunday Morning, Access Hollywood, and a guest appearance on the CBS sitcom, "My Big Fat Greek Life".
Yanni Live at Royal Albert Hall
PBS in December, 2002Returning to PBS for the first time in five years, VCI produced this jewel-like special after Yanni's European tour. The show features three new songs (Desire, Love for Life, Dance with a Stranger). VCI directed and produced two new Yanni music videos for the songs "To Take..To Hold" and "Enchantment". Included in the music videos, shot and co-directed by Emmy award winning cinematographer Peter Franchella, is never before seen footage of Yanni at home in Kalamata, Greece with his parents and beautiful aerials of Greece from the stunning WLIW production of "

Yanni - Tribute
VCI produced and directed these historic shows at the Taj Mahal in India and the Forbidden City in China. Both telecasts were live and broadcast to over 100 million viewers. Shows were then edited together and aired nationally on PBS on December 2, 1997. Negotiated a three year deal with PBS and responsible for all worldwide television deals.
Yanni Live at the Acropolis
Produced and directed by VCI, this 1994 television special. Raised $13 million for PBS, 3rd highest in history. Sold more than 750,000 home videos. Sold more than 7 million albums. Negotiated 3-year TV deal with PBS. Responsible for international TV sales and distribution to 65 countries. Co-promoted Australia and South Korea concert tours in 1995.
